STUDENTS, PARENTS, ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERS!! It's time to STEP UP. SPEAK OUT! 5th Annual MS Youth Hip Hop Summit and 3rd Annual Parent/Advocate Conference! BIGGER! BETTER! MORE EXCITING THAN EVER!!! This year is a CALL TO ACTION!!! Sat. July 21 & Sun. July 22 Millsaps College Jackson, MS STUDENTS! Last year, we "Turned Up the Volume" and MS Youth adopted a Student Bill of Rights! This year, the Statewide Youth Movement will learn how to create campaigns for change in their schools, communities, and in the STATE! We have visited several regions around the state since last year's Summit to encourage students to take a critical look at the in-justice around them. Students will leave the Summit this year with STUDENT ACTION TOOLKITS ready to make changes at home! AND We will be prepping for a big action in January! PLUS more skilz and fun with DJ, Dance, Urban Art, and Rap/Rhyme some more!!! PARENTS! Last Year, we met with Officials, Administrators, and Organizers to outline what the critical issues and the many levels that our students are being PUSHED OUT. This year, we will form working groups, identify stakeholders, and implement the tools we have discussed over the last two years! You will leave the Conference with Action ideas getting back to your communities and schools. It's a virtual boot-camp for the adults this year!! Come ready to work!!! This year promises to be even bigger and better than last year's Summit! We are expecting over 200 PARENT/ADVOCATES and 500 STUDENTS. July 21 and 22, 2012 will Change your life, Change our student’s life, and Change the State of MS!! This year it is all about ACTION!!! NOTE: As the Summit is growing every year, we are so excited to bring more and more people together. As always, this weekend is completely FREE!! Food, Rooms, Workshops, and more!!! Travel Stipends will be limited. In an effort to grow your community base, bring awareness to the issues that youth are facing, we will be sending a series of "Summit or Bust" fundraising projects for you to raise money in your community and help you get to theSUMMIT!!! Start your thinking engines now... The Summit is for youth ages 10 to 18. ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE A SIGNED PARENTAL CONSENT (we will send with follow up packet). I AM NOT TRAYVON MARTIN! I #Salute this girl. The realest I ever heard!

This girl is a #Queen in training! This is some real shyt right here! This white girl is telling the TRUTH! She said she is taught blacks are inferior just like she knows all other whites "think they are"! She is letting the world know. Shesaid without excellent parenting she would be just like Zimmerman. She is standing for whites owning up to the fact they are privileged and the system is teaching them they are superior! #SaluteSister! #iAmTreyvonMartin but i have much #Respect for you #Princess!
